Fairbairn House
For fully qualified, professionally accountable psychotherapists and health care practitioners in the centre of East Lothian
Safe, quality, individualised care
Fairbairn House was founded to provide a safe place where you can be assured that all the therapists and health practitioners only work inside of their area of training and expertise, and are:
- Fully qualified
- Registered and regulated by the appropriate professional organisation
- Professionally accountable and bound by the rigorous codes of ethical standards of their professional organisations which help set the foundation for your relationship with them
- Committed to ongoing professional development
- Fully insured
- Disclosure Scotland (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) PVG Scheme Members (www.myscot/disclosure)
- Registered with the Information Commissioners Office for data protection (www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk)
Providing you with a safe, confidential space to be
- All your appointments will take place in one of our private, comfortable consulting rooms.
- We believe that confidentiality and discretion are essential. All our therapists and health practitioners are self employed and individually responsible for their own clients and patients.
- We do not have a waiting room or a receptionist. You will only speak to your therapist/health practitioner, who will greet you when you arrive at your appointment.
- Our consulting rooms are spread over 3 floors, so please advise your therapist or health practitioner if you have any mobility difficulties or require additional assistance, so we can make appropriate arrangements.
- We have a self contained, welcoming suite on the ground floor specifically designed for group therapies, mindfulness and yoga sessions, relevant talks and seminars.
Let us help you find the health care practitioner who best meets your needs
We understand that the choice of therapy can sometimes be confusing and we are happy to offer you a brief, confidential, telephone conversation to provide you with personalised suggestions which therapy or health practitioner would be the best match for your needs.
If you choose to contact us, please be assured that your message will only be read by one of our qualified, professionally accountable therapists, who will personally respond and arrange to speak with you, to help you identify your needs, and the options available, without any obligation or commitment.
All the therapists and health practitioners at Fairbairn House are ethically bound only to work within their area of competency. If we do not think that that the services we offer would be best to meet your needs, we will say so and where possible suggest an alternative service.
